STEFANO PENNINI
He began studying piano at the age of 9, attended the Quintino Di Vona middle school with a music program, and continued his education at the Civici Jazz Courses of Milan, founded by Maestro Enrico Intra and Franco Cerri. He deepened his study of ragtime and stride piano with Paolo Peruffo and Cesare Poggi, and then studied jazz with Mario Rusca and Andrea Pozza at the Milan Conservatory.
He has performed in numerous solo concerts in Milan at venues such as the Triennale, Villa Simonetta, and the Museo Diocesano, and has taken part in summer festivals such as Il Ritmo delle Città. He participated in Piano City in 2012 and in the Torino Jazz Fringe in 2013 with his trio (piano, double bass, drums), with which he has played many concerts. He later performed at Brianza Jazz Festival in 2014 and 2015, and in June 2015 at Ascona Jazz with Vittorio Castelli’s sextet. He collaborates with various ensembles, including orchestras, mainly in the jazz and swing field.
